Emma: "She seems really sweet and perfect for the role of Lavender. The casting is so good and I am looking forward to her scenes with Ron. I think it's going to be quite a comic film."

J.K. Rowling has updated her website to tell her fans the recent progress in the Harry Potter Lexion lawsuit.
Judge Patterson, in New York has placed a restraining order on the publishers od the Lexion which does not allow them to complete, publish or market the proposed book. This is in place until the court decided if the proposed book would break the law and Mrs. Rowling's copyright in its current form.
J.K. Rowling said the following on her site:
"I take no pleasure in the fact that publication has been prevented for the present. On the contrary, I fell massively disappointed that this matter had to come to court at all. Despite repeated requests, the publishers have refused to even countenance making any changes to the book to ensure that it does not infringe my rights.
Unless their position changes, we will all return to court next year. Given my past relations with the Lecion fansite, I can only feel sad and disillusioned that this is where we have ended up."

J.K. Rowling, along with Warner Brothers are planning on suing The Harry Potter Lexion over a book that the fan site is publishing.
The book in question, written by Lexion Steven VanderArk, is supposed to be a print version of the Harry Potter Lexion. A book that would become a commercial enterprise based on Mrs. Rowling's work.
On her website she states the following:
"The decision was reached, on my part, with immense sadness and disapointment, and only because direct appeals for a reasonable solution failed. I never dreamed, in the ligh of our previous good relations - including giving the Lexion a Fansite Award - that this situation would ever arise."
She finished by saying
"However much an individual claims to love somebody else's work, it does not become theirs to sell."
Stay tuned for more updates on this topic.

J.K. Rowling, who has hand-written 7 copies of her wizarding fairy tale book 'Tales from Beddle The Bard' has announced that she is auctioning off the 7th copy for charity.
The starting bid, a woomping $62 000 American, is likely to sell in the Hundred Thousands range. There is also a Commemorative Catalogue available for purchase for the many of us who cannot afford the high price for the authentic, hand-written, hand-illustrated, leather-bound, jewel-encrusted book.
The other six, according to Rowling are to be given to family and friends as tokens of her gratitude through-out this time. Therefore many fans are predicting that this book of fairy tales will not be massed-published due to the fact that it may take away from the uniqueness of the gift.
